Refrigerative Supply Limited is a family business owned by Alison Hamilton and Linda Gibbs. The business was founded by Peter Gibbs' and Alison Hamilton's parents, Jack and Elizabeth Gibbs. In 1949 they acquired the four-year-old Vancouver branch of an American-based company. From this modest beginning, the Company now has a Head Office in Burnaby and nineteen other branches. The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Customer Experience, the Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing all marketing initiatives. You will take ownership of all aspects related to RSL marketing, which involves developing a comprehensive understanding of the business and its various components that impact our overall marketing image. You will work with the executive team to define the marketing voice and create standards that are applied across the business.
Duties and Responsibilities
What you would be doing
- Leading the development of the RSL marketing plan to meet business objectives and marketing strategy.
- Conduct regular, strategic business reviews to analyze trends, category performance, identify opportunity areas and present recommendations to the leadership team and other partners.
- Develop and execute digital and social media tactics in support of marketing-building strategies.
- Build multi-channel marketing strategies to deploy national initiatives across the RSL market.
- Build an efficient content pipeline with internal resources and suppliers.
- Serve as the copy lead within the department to ideate creative concepts across various mediums.
- Closely monitor and analyze the sales volume, market share and competition to provide actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Execute strategies outlined by the leadership team to drive sales growth and profitability.
- Monitor execution of annual plans and make course corrections as needed.
- Translate strategy into actionable marketing plans
- Manage team workloads and project timelines
- Oversee content creation, digital marketing, and branch support
- Coordinate campaigns and reporting with Channel Managers
- Manage CRM, email marketing, and campaign calendars
- Liaise with vendors and Channel Managers to implement co-marketing

- Curious and innovative - you always do your research and analyze it to assess and recommend a course of action on industry and economic trends and identify risks and opportunities that may impact the business unit and or designated area.
- Knowledgeable - you have advanced knowledge of the concepts, practices, and techniques of the related field.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or a business-related field.
- 8-10 years of professional experience in marketing.
- Have demonstrated ability to grow marketing awareness and marketing consideration metrics.
- Able to develop influential and collaborative relationships across teams and functions, both internally and externally.
- Work both independently and with the team, relying on strong influencing skills to achieve results.
- Superior knowledge of Marketing delivery and all elements of the marketing mix.
- Superior knowledge of strategic business drivers and how these translate into a marketing strategy.
- Superior communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to bring new innovative marketing approaches to life and constantly evolve the best practices.
