Remote US Canada Scribd Full time
About The Company:

At Scribd (pronounced "scribbed"), our mission is to spark human curiosity. Join our team as we create a world of stories and knowledge, democratize the exchange of ideas and information, and empower collective expertise through our four products: Everand, Scribd, Slideshare, and Fable.

We support a culture where our employees can be real and be bold; where we debate and commit as we embrace plot twists; and where every employee is empowered to take action as we prioritize the customer.

When it comes to workplace structure, we believe in balancing individual flexibility and community connections. It's through our flexible work benefit, Scribd Flex, that employees – in partnership with their manager – can choose the daily work-style that best suits their individual needs. A key tenet of Scribd Flex is our prioritization of intentional in-person moments to build collaboration, culture, and connection. For this reason, occasional in-person attendance is required for all Scribd employees, regardless of their location.

So what are we looking for in new team members? Well, we hire for "GRIT". The textbook definition of GRIT is demonstrating the intersection of passion and perseverance towards long term goals. At Scribd, we are inspired by the potential that this can unlock, and ask each of our employees to pursue a GRIT-ty approach to their work. In a tactical sense, GRIT is also a handy acronym that outlines the standards we hold ourselves and each other to. Here's what that means for you: we're looking for someone who showcases the ability to set and achieve Goals, achieve Results within their job responsibilities, contribute Innovative ideas and solutions, and positively influence the broader Team through collaboration and attitude.

About the Team

The mission of the Data & Analytics team is to ensure the entire company understands business performance and trends, and to empower all business teams to make good decisions with data.

The Growth organization focuses on driving sustainable subscriber and user growth across Scribd's ecosystem, including Scribd, Everand, Slideshare, and Fable. We work to improve how users discover, sign up for, activate, and retain value across our products. Our work spans acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization, with a deep emphasis on data quality, measurement, and experimentation.

About You

The Lead Product Analyst, Growth will play a pivotal role in shaping how we understand and optimize our most important user journeys from signup and onboarding to billing, retention, and cancellation.

You are a highly motivated and analytical problem solver who thrives at the intersection of product strategy, experimentation, and data systems. You combine technical depth in analytics with a strong understanding of how growth levers work in subscription products. You are passionate about data integrity and event instrumentation and understand that great insights come from great foundations. You are a clear communicator who can translate complex analyses into actionable insights, influence cross-functional teams, and drive measurable impact across the funnel.

You Will:

  • Own end-to-end analytics for the signup, activation, retention, and cancellation funnels across Scribd's brands, identifying friction points and opportunities for growth.

  • Lead event instrumentation and taxonomy strategy for the growth pillar, including defining event requirements, maintaining tracking documentation, and partnering with engineering to ensure accurate and consistent data collection to measure touchpoints within the signup flow and cancellation flow.

  • Design and execute end-to-end experimentation frameworks to measure and optimize growth initiatives across the funnel, including hypothesis generation, test design, metric definition, analysis, and readouts. Partner with Data Science and Product to establish experimentation best practices, set success thresholds, and ensure statistical rigor in all A/B tests

  • Collaborate with Product, Lifecycle, and Data Engineering teams to design experiments, define success metrics, and measure the impact of product and marketing initiatives.

  • Build and maintain scalable dashboards and reporting frameworks in Looker and Databricks to track growth KPIs such as signups, trial conversion, bill-through rate, churn, and LTV

  • Partner with Growth PMs to identify and prioritize opportunities through funnel and cohort analyses, experimentation, and user behavior insights

  • Support scenario planning and impact sizing for key growth initiatives, helping quantify potential outcomes, model tradeoffs, and inform prioritization decisions across acquisition, activation, and retention efforts

  • Ensure data quality and governance across tracking systems, improving event coverage and visibility for key flows

  • Mentor analysts and help establish best practices for product analytics, experimentation, and taxonomy management

You have

  • 3+ years of experience in product or growth analytics, ideally within a high-velocity, subscription-based, or consumer-facing environment

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python or R for data querying, analysis, and experimentation support

  • Deep hands-on experience with BI and analytics tools such as Looker, including building and optimizing dashboards, maintaining LookML models, and establishing data governance standards

  • Experience with data warehouses such as Databricks, including proficiency in data modeling, performance optimization, cost management, and collaboration with data engineering to maintain efficient and reliable pipelines

  • Proven experience defining event schemas, designing tracking taxonomies, and collaborating with engineering on instrumentation

  • Solid knowledge of A/B testing design, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and funnel analysis, with a demonstrated ability to translate results into actionable recommendations.

  • Experience designing and analyzing incrementality testing to measure true growth impact across experiments, campaigns, and lifecycle initiatives

  • Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) such as Segment, mParticle, or RudderStack

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is a plus.

This is a unique opportunity to shape Scribd's growth engine from the ground up, connecting the dots between data, experimentation, and user experience across multiple brands. You will help build the systems, metrics, and insights that define how we grow, while partnering closely with teams that are passionate about making reading and knowledge more accessible to the world.
