Job Summary

We are seeking an Engineering Manager for operation in Spruce Grove. This is a full time permanent position. The position is located in the Spruce Grove office. Our company is engaged in the precast concrete manufacturing business. Generally our role in a project is that of a subcontractor, where we design, produce and install structures, products and services to the construction and development community, primarily in Alberta but also Sask. and BC.

Responsibilities

  • This role provides Professional Engineering services enabling us to deliver top quality designs, structures and components to the projects we undertake.
  • This position will provide and manage all of our professional requirements including P Eng., EOR (if required), drawing and component design. develop engineering standards, approvals, inspections, responsibility for our quality certification and quality assurance programs, preliminary designs, coordination with other professionals and some project management duties.
  • Will be instrumental in the development of innovative new designs, new product development and process improvement.
  • Provide engineering assistance to the plant and field for their internal needs.
  • Over time, this position will develop and manage a full engineering capability within the operation.
  • Must possess excellent written and spoken English skills.

Experience

  • Registered Structural Professional Engineer with expertise in concrete structures and materials
  • At least 5 years relevant experience and will be able to obtain permit to practice for our operation.
  • Must have the drive, curiosity, skills and tenacity to achieve high results.
  • Focus on Safety and quality is critical
  • Must have skills with clients, various authorities and other professionals, be an excellent planner, able to effectively manage assigned staff, manage conflict and defend our position, and able to independently think on your feet.

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
