Duties

  • Greet and assist patients with selecting eyewear and accessories, ensuring a welcoming environment
  • Prepare and adjust eyewear, including fitting and minor repairs, to meet patient needs
  • Manage patient records and appointments using electronic health record systems such as Epic
  • Assist with inventory management of optical supplies and products
  • Educate patients on lens options, frame styles, and lens coatings based on their prescriptions and lifestyle needs
  • Support laboratory processes, including lens ordering and quality checks when applicable
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and ensuring satisfaction during visits
  • Collaborate with optometrists and other healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth clinic operations

Skills

  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care and optical services
  • Previous laboratory experience or optical experience is highly desirable
  • Retail sales experience with a focus on customer service and product knowledge
  • Strong sales skills to promote eyewear products effectively
  • Familiarity with electronic health records systems, especially Epic, is preferred
  • Experience in retail management or supervisory roles is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well within a team

This position requires a professional who is committed to delivering outstanding patient care while supporting the operational needs of the optical practice. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for healthcare, strong organizational skills, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.60-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
