The Toronto office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG), Canada's leading, innovative and client-focused law firm, is seeking an:

Associate – Competition/Anti-Trust and Foreign InvestmentWe are looking for

The ideal candidate will have 1 – 2 years experience practicing law.  The candidate will be motivated, a team player, take great pride in their work, and have strong analytical, problem-solving, communication skills, and experience:

This role will offer the successful candidate the following opportunities:

  • To develop expertise in Competition/Anti-Trust and Foreign Investment law
  • To work on both corporate and litigation matters
  • Advising clients on mergers, cartel investigations and anti-trust class actions
  • Providing strategic guidance on compliance matters, pre-merger negotiations and inquiries under the Competition Act
  • Advising on regulatory challenges in advertising and marketing compliance
  • Career advancement, support, and development
  • Experience in Competition/Anti-Trust and Foreign Investment law is an asset but not a requirement
  • New calls will be considered
