We are looking for an Atlassian Solutions Partner to support our teams in their efforts to optimize Bevel and the client's Atlassian products.

The Fractional Atlassian Solutions Partner plays a dual role as both advisor and practitioner, helping internal and external teams get the most out of their Atlassian environments. This role blends strategic guidance with hands-on expertise of designing, optimizing, and maintaining Jira, Confluence, and related Atlassian tools to enable seamless collaboration, efficient project delivery, and scalable governance.

Working within our Atlassian-as-a-Service model, the Partner ensures that each client's systems are structured for clarity, alignment, and performance. They translate business needs into technical solutions, integrate Atlassian products with other systems (like Salesforce or Slack), and champion best practices for agile project management, documentation, and collaboration.

This is a fractional engagement suited for a seasoned Atlassian professional who enjoys both architecting systems and empowering teams to use them effectively.

Core Focus Areas
Advisory & Solution Architecture
  • Assess organizational needs and design scalable Atlassian environments that align with business processes and team workflows
  • Provide expert guidance on tool selection, configuration strategy, and governance best practices
  • Translate technical concepts into actionable recommendations for business and technical leaders
  • Act as a trusted advisor on optimizing collaboration, documentation, and agile delivery across teams
System Administration & Optimization
  • Configure, maintain, and continuously improve Jira, Confluence, and related Atlassian tools for performance and usability
  • Manage workflows, fields, screens, permissions, and automation to support evolving business needs
  • Troubleshoot system issues, implement enhancements, and ensure environments remain clean, organized, and scalable
  • Lead efforts in system cleanup, workflow redesign, and structural improvements to enhance efficiency
Integration & Enablement
  • Implement and support integrations between Atlassian products and key platforms such as Salesforce, Slack, and other productivity tools
  • Develop processes and standards that promote data consistency and cross-system visibility
  • Create documentation, dashboards, and training materials to support team enablement and self-sufficiency
  • Ensure integrations enhance, not complicate, overall workflow efficiency and reporting
Governance, Training & Continuous Improvement
  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks to ensure proper usage, permissions, and data hygiene across instances
  • Conduct workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities to build internal capabilities
  • Monitor usage patterns, collect feedback, and proactively recommend enhancements for long-term sustainability
  • Stay current on Atlassian product updates and ecosystem developments to keep client systems future-ready
What We're Looking For
Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience administering and optimizing Atlassian products (Jira Software, Confluence, Jira Service Management, etc.)
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing Jira and Confluence structures that scale effectively across teams and functions
  • Experience with integration tools and APIs, connecting Atlassian products to systems such as Salesforce, Slack, or Microsoft Teams
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience configuring workflows to support Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid frameworks
  • Background in solution architecture or advisory consulting, with experience engaging directly with clients to define needs and deliver outcomes
  • Practical experience with user training, permissions management, and governance frameworks in growing organizations
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Cloud and Data Center environments

Nice to Have:
  • Atlassian Certified Expert or other relevant Atlassian certifications
  • Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Jira Automation, ScriptRunner, or Power Scripts)
  • Exposure to enterprise-level Atlassian implementations or migration projects
  • Familiarity with change management principles and user adoption strategies
  • Experience with reporting and dashboard tools such as EazyBI or Jira Align
  • Background in cloud infrastructure or DevOps environments integrating Atlassian tools
Availability

5–10 hours per week to start Must have at least 50% overlap with Eastern Time (EST) business hours
