Job Overview

We are seeking a creative and skilled Motion Graphics Designer to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will focus on bringing brands to life through animation. You will be responsible for transforming static assets and concepts into dynamic motion graphics, specifically for branding purposes, logo reveals, and explainer videos.

You will work remotely, collaborating closely with our team to ensure that the final animations align with the project vision and meet high-quality standards.

What You Will Create

  • Branding & Identity: Logo animations, lower thirds, and animated brand assets.
  • Marketing Content: Explainer videos, social media motion graphics, and promotional animations.
  • Visual Storytelling: Kinetic typography and vector-based animation.

Responsibilities

  • Design and animate compelling motion graphics for branding and explainer videos.
  • Bring static logos and design elements to life using engaging motion techniques.
  • Collaborate with the team to understand project goals and visual style requirements.
  • Utilize Adobe After Effects to create high-quality animations and visual effects.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines.
  • Incorporate feedback from team members to refine animations and improve final outputs.
  • Maintain organized project files and adhere to best practices for animation workflows.

Requirements & Skills

  • Portfolio Requirement: You must provide a portfolio or demo reel that specifically demonstrates logo and brand animations. Applications without these specific examples will not be considered.
  • Software Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Illustrator is essential. Proficiency in Premiere Pro is required for final assembly.
  • Design Sense: Strong understanding of timing, pacing, easing, and visual storytelling techniques.
  • Asset Preparation: Ability to prepare vector files in Illustrator for animation in After Effects.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
  • Bonus Skills: Proficiency in 3D animation (Cinema 4D, Blender, or After Effects 3D capabilities) is a significant asset.

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
