Toronto ON MS Y, Canada Thera+Kids Full time $60,000 - $90,000 per year

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech- Language Pathologist with paediatric experience (children 0-18 years old) to join our supportive and growing team of therapists. The position is for an independent contractor looking to build a part-time caseload, with an option to build a full-time caseload over time. Therapists have the option to work in clinic at our Midtown location (Yonge and Davisville), virtually or in-home/schools/ daycares within their desired catchment area.

Job Description:

  • Provide child-centred and neurodiversity affirming assessment and treatment activities.
  • Collaborate with clients and caregivers to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain up to date documentation and record keeping (consent, clinical notes, assessment reports, progress reports, discharge notes).
  • Manage own caseload.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Manage billing and invoicing using online billing system.
  • Stay updated on best practices.
  • Maintain CASLPO standards of practice.

Skills:

  • Experience working with neurodivergent children and families
  • Proficiency in case management techniques to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Self-directed learner.

Application Requirements:

  • Masters in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent required
  • Resume and cover letter
  • At least 1 year experience working with paediatric clients is preferred

  • Registration and in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
