We're looking for a proven, coachable and self-motivated team player to join a high-performing team responsible for reviewing complex information and producing quality content. You'll proofread, QA and translate a wide variety of text from English to French in a stimulating environment with career advancement opportunities.

This is a full-time, permanent position (not freelance or contract). If you're passionate about making a difference and are customer-oriented and partnership-focused, this role could be a great fit.

  • Organized multi-tasker able to work on multiple projects while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Lifelong learner interested in developing skills and learning more about ag and food, and finance
  • Confident communicator with professional-level written and oral proficiency in both official languages
  • Openness to receiving constructive feedback and willingness to engage in active discussions with both internal clients and colleagues to ensure translations are accurate and meet the required standards
  • Collaborator who participates in efforts to refine language and terminology choices, contributing to the overall quality of translated materials
  • Proven team player in search of full-time, permanent employment (not freelance or contract)

What you'll need

  • A bachelor's degree with specialization in translation, and at least two years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Professional designation or certification in translation is considered an asset
  • Advanced proficiency in both official languages (English and French)
  • In-depth knowledge of translation theories, practices, trends and approaches
  • The following are considered assets:
    • Trados experience
    • Familiarity with CAT tools with the use translation memories, term bases and AI translation tools like Language Weaver and DeepL
    • Experience with post-editing
    • Technological inclination, proofreading and QA experience
