We believe that what we put into the feed helps livestock get more out of the feed – proven nutrition for a more profitable performing animal.BenefitsParrish & Heimbecker Ltd has a people-first approach therefore, we offer many perks to our hard-working staff Some of our benefits include:Learning and Development Programs Dental, Vision, and Extended Health CareTuition ReimbursementEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Time OffRRSP MatchingWellness Program Company EventsYour RoleReporting to the Corporate Controller, the Finance Manager is responsible for undertaking aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget, and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.Day to DayOversee corporate accounting functions and coordinate related activitiesSupport Corporate Controller in hiring, training, coaching, and developing finance staffPromote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the finance teamEffectively utilize team resources to achieve departmental goalsImplement and coach performance management systems for finance staffLiaise with payroll to ensure accurate financial data and accrual setupMaintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and related reportingPrepare general ledger account reconciliationsReview and approve cash disbursementsLead finance team through month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesEnsure timely preparation and submission of financial statements and reportsMonitor inventory reporting and month-end evaluationsEnsure accurate setup and reporting of bank reconciliations, balance sheet accounts, and accrualsParticipate in cross-functional initiatives to align with organizational and sales goalsAssist Corporate Controller with year-end audit planning and executionOversee implementation and development of financial systems and reporting toolsRequired QualificationsA post-secondary education in business or accounting CPA (CGA, CMA, CA) a definite asset2-3 years' experience in industry corporate accounting in a senior roleAn ability to coach and mentor junior team membersStrong organizational, decision making, analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong working knowledge of computerized accounting systems - Advanced skills using MS Excel and the rest of the MS Office SuiteExperience with Microsoft D365 Business Central would be considered an asset.Great interpersonal and communication skillsWork and grow with a family-owned company.
