Red Deer Resort & Casino is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for a diverse workforce in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Payroll Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, while maintaining compliance with payroll legislation and internal controls.

What You'll Do

  • Process full-cycle payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple pay cycles
  • Manage payroll changes, ROEs, and year-end activities including T4s
  • Review and validate time and attendance data
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and CRA requirements
  • Process payroll using Dayforce and support payroll-related accounting activities in Sage
  • Participate in payroll system implementations or upgrades
  • Support employees and leaders with payroll-related inquiries

What You'll Bring

  • Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation
  • 5+ years of full-cycle payroll experience
  • Experience supporting both hourly and salaried payrolls
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Experience with Dayforce and Sage is an asset
  • Experience in hospitality, gaming, or multi-shift environments is an asset
