JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a 309A Electrician to join our team on a full time or 6 month contract basis. This candidate must be organized, personable, possess solid automation skills, have strong attention to detail, and must be a team player. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The 309A Electrician will be responsible for:

  • Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations
  • Inspect and troubleshoot electrical systems, equipment, and processes
  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment in accordance with appropriate codes (e.g., Canadian Electrical Code)
  • Lead projects and apprentices as required
  • Attention to detail and keeps proper documentation of work completed
  • Motivated self-starter, ability to complete tasks in a timely fashion with minimal supervision
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to be a team player
  • Knowledge in automation communication standards and how to troubleshoot common faults

REQUIRED TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate should possess applied knowledge in several of the following software environments:

  • Interprovincial red seal trade license as a Construction Maintenance Electrician (309A)
  • Understanding of electrical and automation systems, custom machinery, etc.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

In addition to technical expertise, candidates should meet the following qualifications:

  • Valid G class driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Candidate must have a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Self-disciplined and accountable
  • The team member will possess a willingness to listen, learn, and ask questions to enhance their applied knowledge within the automation industry

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • 5+ years of experience in the electrical automation/controls industry holding a valid 309A license.
