Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Hammerco Lawyers Full time

Are you a seasoned estate-litigation pro with 6–10+ years of experience, a solid network, and a drive to build something meaningful? At Hammerco, we're offering a rare opportunity to build your own practice, with the backing of a collaborative, modern firm and a culture built on respect, authenticity, excellence, and growth.

*What you'll do*

  • Build and lead a self-sustaining estate-litigation practice with strong support.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to manage existing and new client matters: complex estates, wills variation disputes, undue influence claims, and more.
  • Mentor and collaborate, guiding staff and junior lawyers, shaping strategy, and contributing to the firm's ethos of 'human first, lawyer second.'
  • Combine business development, client support, and high-calibre litigation work in a flexible, forward-looking environment.

*You bring*

  • 6+ years (the more the better) of estate litigation experience. Commercial litigation experience is an asset.
  • Demonstrated capability to develop and sustain a book of business.
  • Subject-matter expertise in estate litigation, complex and contentious estate matters, etc.
  • Strong leadership, mentorship skills, and a collaborative mindset.
  • A desire to work in a modern, flexible, tech-enabled environment with a growing national presence.

*What makes Hammerco different*

  • Remote and in-office flexibility, with a robust tech stack that keeps everything accessible.
  • A diverse, inclusive team. We champion women in leadership and believe in succession planning done right.
  • Real support: business-development resources, junior-team backing, administrative infrastructure, and a firm-wide commitment to collaboration and professional growth.
  • A national-scale vision with a people-first culture.
  • Bonus: a dog-friendly office + social activities

The salary range for this position is $130,000–$160,000. Actual compensation will depend on the candidate's experience, competencies, and year of call. We may consider a higher salary for candidates whose experience or year of call warrants placement above the listed range.

If you're ready to build a lasting practice with a great team, we want to hear from you.
