Chef Manager – Phat Boy Cheesesteaks (Edmonton North)

We're looking for a hands-on Chef Manager to lead the kitchen at Phat Boy Cheesesteaks Edmonton North. You'll be responsible for running a smooth, clean, fast-moving line while keeping our food quality, presentation, and costs on point.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and train the kitchen team, set the pace on the line, and create a positive, organized work environment
  • Create, test, and roll out new menu items and limited-time features with the owner
  • Control food costs through accurate ordering, inventory, portioning, and waste management
  • Maintain consistent food quality, portion sizes, and plate/packaging presentation according to Phat Boy standards
  • Ensure all health, safety, and cleanliness standards are followed at all times
  • Work closely with front-of-house to deliver a great guest experience

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Chef, Kitchen Manager, or similar leadership role (fast-casual or restaurant)
  • Proven experience creating menus and costing recipes
  • Strong understanding of food cost, portion control, and inventory
  • Excellent food presentation skills and attention to detail
  • Able to lead, coach, and hold a team accountable in a busy environment
  • Available evenings and weekends
