About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing manufacturing company undergoing process automation and ERP upgrades, is seeking an intermediate-level accountant for a two-month contract (with potential extension). This role will provide hands-on support during a peak workload period, focusing initially on AP/AR cleanup before transitioning into broader accounting tasks as operations stabilize.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable cleanup, addressing approximately three to four weeks of backlog.
  • Process vendor invoices, reconcile accounts, and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Support month-end close activities and assist with reconciliations across multiple entities.
  • Assist with budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting as workloads normalize.
  • Collaborate with other accounting staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness of transactions.
  • Support ongoing ERP (Epicor) and automation initiatives, adapting to reduced manual workload as new systems go live.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution environments.
  • Strong understanding of AP/AR processes and general accounting principles.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Epicor experience preferred) and Excel.
  • Proven ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

You're a hands-on, adaptable accounting professional who can quickly jump into AP/AR cleanup while also contributing to broader accounting initiatives. You're comfortable in a manufacturing setting, open to process improvement, and ready to take ownership during a period of transition.
