About Potash

The Jansen project in Saskatchewan, Canada is set to become one of the largest potash mines in the world and is located approximately 140 kilometers east of Saskatoon. BHP's CAD$14 billion (US$10.5 billion) investment in the Jansen project will deliver a potash mine in Saskatchewan designed to maximize sustainability. As the largest investment in Saskatchewan's history, Jansen is expected to generate approximately 5,500 workforce opportunities during construction and 900 long-term roles.

Jansen's construction will take place over several years with first production planned for mid-2027. Once fully ramped up, Jansen is expected to have an initial production capacity of approximately 8.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa), with the potential to produce 16 to 17 Mtpa in future stages. Work Location

This position will be based in Saskatoon. The associated work schedule will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working (flexible, shared workstations and a combination of office and work from home) is standard for BHP.

BHP offers domestic relocation assistance to support the successful incumbent in transitioning, if required. Benefits offered as part of the relocation program include (but are not limited to) new home purchase assistance, temporary accommodations, home finding trip and a resettlement allowance.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Develop tailored change strategies and roadmaps aligned with organizational goals and transformation initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships and facilitate alignment among stakeholders to ensure support and ownership of change.
  • Create and deliver targeted, multi-channel communication plans to clearly convey the purpose and benefits of change.
  • Partner with functions to design and implement training programs that equip employees for successful change adoption.
  • Assess organizational readiness and implement strategies to drive adoption and sustain new ways of working.
  • Identify and address resistance through proactive engagement, feedback channels, and support networks.
  • Track KPIs and change outcomes to refine strategies and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Apply structured change frameworks and leverage digital tools to manage and monitor change initiatives effectively.

About You

  • Educational background in Business Administration, Management, Organizational Development, or a related field with proven change management experience. Certification in change management is considered an asset.

  • 10+ years in change management, organizational development, or transformation initiatives with experience working within in complex, large scale projects with cross-functional environments.

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Proficient in data analysis and digital collaboration platforms.
  • Ability to influence and build trust across teams with strong problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities
  • Experience driving cultural change and promoting continuous improvement
