Position Summary

We are looking for a Residential Building Steward for a vibrant 300+ unit residential community in Squamish. The Streward provides exceptional on-site service, ensuring the property remains safe, clean, and welcoming. This role combines customer service and administrative support with property oversight and emergency coordination, making it ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and values community engagement.

Location:Squamish, BC

Full-time Shifts (42 hours): 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, rotating 3 days one week and 4 days the next

Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Administrative

  • Serve as an on-site representative and liaison for a 300+ unit residential property.
  • Play a proactive role in fostering positive community engagement by promoting responsible use of shared spaces and assisting with resident communications.
  • Greet residents and visitors, assist with inquiries, and set the tone for exceptional service.
  • Manage amenity bookings, visitor passes, and package handling; maintain accurate logs and incident reports.

Property Oversight

  • Conduct daily walkthroughs to monitor and address cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and security concerns.
  • Fill gaps between professional cleanings and help maintain and monitor all common property areas by performing minor janitorial duties as required.
  • Maintain effective communication with decision-makers, managers, and trades to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Maintain detailed records, prepare and present a periodical activity report to the relevant stakeholders.

Emergency Response Coordination

  • Act as the first on-site responder for urgent situations (e.g., leaks, alarms, medical emergencies).
  • Proactively coordinate resolutions, maintain detailed records, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • You are an outgoing person who enjoys working with people
  • Effective communicator who is able to compose a professional email or speak with a customer in a clear and positive manner.
  • Minimum 1 year of administrative and customer service experience in hospitality, property management, retail or other comparable positions.
  • Comfortable with mobile tools, email, and basic computer applications
  • And problem-solving skills; calm under pressure.
  • Ability to climb stairs, lift up to 40 lbs, and remain on your feet during long shifts.
  • Availability for 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Asset: BC Security License or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
