Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food items following quality standards, recipes, and chef practices.
  • Delegate food orders during service for timely and organized preparation.
  • Prepare stocks, sauces, and soups.
  • Clean and prepare all protein items (butchering, etc.).
  • Design and implement pre-approved daily specials.
  • Train and support Second and Third Cooks during operations.
  • Complete the ASI Checklist daily.
  • Maintain Mise-en-Place par levels for efficient production.
  • Report any concerns regarding products, equipment, or performance.
  • Uphold high standards of appearance, hygiene, and safety.
  • Promote professional work habits and recognize team achievements.
  • Attend daily pre-shift meetings.
  • Handle guest feedback professionally using LEARN principles.
  • Follow safety policies and report any accidents or hazards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must have Red Seal Certification (4-month grace period for internal candidates).
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of culinary experience.
  • Knowledge of local health and safety regulations.
  • Experience in a high-volume food service operation.
  • Awareness of recent culinary trends is an asset.
