Ford Motor Company of Canada is growing our manufacturing expertise in electronics and electrical distribution systems (EDS). Our supplier business partners, are a very important part of this growth. The Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) organization supports our Global suppliers with Manufacturing Technical expertise as they invest and grow their business to support ours. Ford Motor Company is looking for an experienced electronics manufacturing Technical Specialist to support our Global Core Electrical STA team. This global team is composed of Technical Experts, Managers, and Manufacturing Engineers who assist the suppliers as they grow with Ford Motor Company of Canada.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Maintain full responsibility for the development, maintenance and governance of electronics and EDS manufacturing standards.
- Drive quality and implementation of best practices in our suppliers' processes.
- Provide support to Site STA engaging supplier's Global Management team to address systemic quality, capacity, and manufacturing issues. Solve significant problems including prevent recurrence.
- Provide training, mentoring and consulting services to enhance the technical knowledge of the entire team.
- Keep abreast of technical developments and advancements in electronic manufacturing methods.
- Lead upfront process engineering efforts, provide analytical tools and processes and function as a key technical member of the STA team.
- Collaborate with peers in Product Development, STA and throughout the company.
- Review and approval of manufacturing feasibility assessments.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent.

Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience of electronics manufacturing processes, specifically process controls.
- Must have the ability to travel throughout the North America with occasional trips to South America, Europe, and Asia. Travel typically 25-50% but occasionally up to 75%.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
Masters in Engineering or equivalent.
Experience:
- Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written English proficiency, enabling clear, persuasive communication effectively fostering collaboration across global teams.
- Experience in project management and/or program launch.
- Advanced problem-solving skills.
- IPC610, SS Blackbelt, IATF16949 certifications are not mandatory but are an advantage.
