We're seeking a talented and passionate intermediate creative team to join the Type1 team at VML. As a duo, you have strong conceptual abilities, bold creativity, and the ability to work seamlessly together. 

Type1 is a highly-awarded, fully-integrated, dedicated super team inside VML Canada. Built for Volkswagen, we deliver world-class ideas for a world-class brand. Our work turns heads, moves audiences, and gets shared. From brand and retail to social, digital, and CRM, we produce work across every part of the consumer journey. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Art Director: 

First and foremost, think up interesting and bold ideas in response to client briefs and moments in culture. Develop and execute campaign visuals for various media, including digital, CRM, print, social, and video. Collaborate with your copywriter to ensure a cohesive and impactful message. Stay updated on industry trends to inform and inspire creative ideas. Deliver work to deadlines. 

Copywriter: 

First and foremost, think up interesting and bold ideas in response to client briefs and moments in culture. Craft engaging and persuasive copy for a wide range of mediums, including digital, CRM, print, social, and video. Craft copy in each client's unique brand voice that meets their objectives. Work closely with your art director to develop and refine creative concepts. Stay updated on industry trends to inform and inspire creative ideas. Deliver work to deadlines. 

Requirements: 

3+ years of experience in a creative role within an advertising agency or similar environment. Demonstrate a track record of successful campaigns and creative work. Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of projects and mediums. Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. A passion for creativity and innovation.
