Position Overview

As a Crew Lead, you will be responsible for managing a small team of landscape technicians in daily operations. You'll oversee site work, ensure tasks are completed to company standards, maintain a safe and efficient job site, and act as the primary point of contact with clients while on-site. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a passion for both people and the outdoors.

  • Reviews all job details given by the Operations Manager prior to workday.
  • Ensures materials and equipment required are loaded into their trucks before leaving the Warehouse.
  • Meet with the Operations Manager daily and coordinates information and advises of any changes.
  • Clearly introduces self (as the crew leader) and crew to customer. Conducts walk through with customer, plans out the work activities, communicates same to crew and assigns tasks.
  • Contacts Operations Manager to discuss any questions when on site. Ensures site is organized and work is planned and executed efficiently.
  • Does final walk through with customer as crew completes cleanup.
  • Ensures load is secure, crew has cleaned up, all left over materials and equipment are moved to truck and documentation is organized
  • Assigns specific tasks to crew and supervises/executes delivery of work tasks.
  • Is responsible and accountable for the productivity of all crew members and job budget.
  • Ensures that all site tasks are completed, expenses accounted for, and properly marked as such for invoicing.
  • Problem solves at job site when necessary to ensure customer satisfaction and crew efficiency and service.
  • Ensures all materials and equipment are returned to truck, all garbage is collected and site is left clean and looking impressive
  • Make sure trucks are always fueled up.
  • Ensures any unusual incidents (damage or personnel incidents) are recorded on the appropriate forms and forwards information to sales associate and dispatcher.
  • Ensures Operations Manager receives all job documentation & information once completed
  • Ensure crew timesheets are completed correctly within our App
  • Do regular inventory of equipment and check conditions and notify Operations Manager of any problems/concerns
  • Performs other duties as required
