Job Description – Sales Arborist (Manager Level)

Location: Victoria, BC

Type: Full-time, On-site

Tip Top Tree Service Ltd is a young, friendly, and growing tree care company based in Victoria, BC. We take pride in our focus on safety, production, and teamwork, and we are seeking a Sales Arborist with hands-on arboriculture experience to be the right hand to our general manager. This is a leadership role for someone who has worked in the field, understands the demands of arborist work, and is ready to help run the day-to-day.

This role will focus on sales and quoting, meeting with clients, preparing proposals, and ensuring smooth project delivery from first contact through to completion. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients, assess job sites, and prepare quotes
  • Manage daily scheduling and crew coordination
  • Ensure smooth job execution from prep to completion
  • Act as a communication bridge between clients, crews, and leadership
  • Monitor operational efficiency and safety compliance
  • Troubleshoot issues in real time
  • Support recruiting, training, and performance management
  • Maintain and improve systems for scheduling, quoting, and customer service

Requirements

  • Customer service and interaction skills
  • ISA Certified Arborist
  • 3+ years of experience as a climber or crew leader in tree care
  • Class 5 BC driver's licence
  • Level 1 First Aid
  • Experience operating tree work tools and equipment

Assets (Not Required)

  • TRAQ (Tree Risk Assessment Qualification)
  • CUA (Certified Utility Arborist)
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Sales Arborist experience (quoting, client consultations)
  • Familiarity with municipal tree bylaws and permit application processes
  • Ability to perform or oversee basic maintenance on vehicles, tools, and equipment
