Crisis Support Worker- Full-time – Overnight Rotation

Wage: $24.00-$29.52 per hour plus an overnight shift premium

As a Full-time employee, you will:

POSITIONS AVAILABLE:

  • Full time, Permanent Overnight Position: includes 10-hour shifts, scheduled on a 28-day rotation, Thursday to Sunday 10:00pm-8:00am.

Position Overview

The Crisis Support Worker:

  • Contributes to the day-to-day program and facility operations of the Interval Home Emergency Shelter.
  • Provides meaningful and impactful crisis and practical supports to women and children fleeing family violence, ensuring excellent client services through best practices and effective case management.
  • Provides crisis support to individuals accessing the Interval Home crisis line, complete shelter admission assessments and intakes.
  • Supports women and families with their day-to-day routines, practical needs, and activities.
  • Maintains timely, accurate, factual, and professional documents in accordance with SPARK policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates and assists in meal preparation, room cleaning, general housekeeping, house laundry, gardening and facility maintenance.
  • Contributes to maintain a high standard of health, cleanliness, and safety in all areas of the facility. Complies with all emergency processes and risk management.

Experience and Competencies:

  • Diploma or degree in a human service field is preferred, but a combination of related training and experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the issue of family violence, and trauma aware supports.
  • Previous experience in related field would be an asset
  • A valid driver's license combined with a 3-year clean driving history is preferred.
