What Your Day Will Look Like
As a Natural Resources Field Technician, you will assist with field work in support of natural resource projects under the guidance of Crew Leads, Senior Biologists, Subject Matter Experts, and Project Managers. You will help with field preparation, surveying, and data collection, contributing to environmental assessments and compliance monitoring. Your role includes gathering and analyzing environmental data, maintaining accurate and well-organized records, and ensuring all documentation is properly stored. You'll work collaboratively with team members to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high professional standards. This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on skills in environmental fieldwork, data management, and regulatory compliance within the natural resources sector.
What You'll be Responsible for
- Assist in conducting field surveys to gather data on natural resource projects.
- Assist in the collection and analysis of environmental data to ensure compliance with regulations and client requirements.
- Maintain field equipment and ensure its proper use.
- Work in collaboration with local First Nations.
- Fostering positive relationships with local communities, Indigenous groups, governmental agencies and other partners.
- Promoting a strong safety culture and working collaboratively within Ecofor's corporate culture.
What Will Help You Succeed:
Our ideal candidate is pursuing or has recently completed a diploma or bachelor's degree in a natural science field, with a combination of education and experience also considered. You bring a strong interest in environmental fieldwork and natural resource management, along with knowledge of federal and provincial environmental regulations and familiarity with common field equipment. You are an effective communicator with strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail in data collection, analysis, and reporting. You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and experience with GIS or database management is an asset. You are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in outdoor and physically demanding conditions. Above all, you are eager to learn, contribute to environmental projects, and build a foundation for a career in the natural resources field.
Position requires: Criminal Record Check, Valid Driver's License
Language Requirement: Fluent in English

Wage Range: This is an Hourly position with atarget hiring range of $26.75 to $32.91 per hour. Final placement within this range will typically be between the minimum and midpoint and is determined based on each candidate's unique combination of skills, knowledge, experience, and abilities. We also consider factors such as market conditions and internal equity to support fair and transparent compensation practices.
Location: The successful candidates must reside in or be willing to move to one of the locations mentioned above.
