Job Description
Techo-Bloc's Product Operations Coordinator is a key position in global sourcing strategy. This individual will support our buyers, and interface with vendors to manage consolidated quotation requests, new vendor relationships and occasionally, place and track purchase orders for non-inventoried items including ensuring the timely delivery of product to our Techo-Bloc sites.
Working closely with the R&D, Procurement, Production, Maintenance and Customer Service teams, the Product Operations Coordinator is accountable for detailed information collection, data management and identification of requirements through our ERP system and contribution toward a risk adverse global sourcing portfolio. This role requires a high level of detail, organization and willingness to go above and beyond to deliver the best value to Techo-Bloc from our vendors. Here is a snapshot of your day-to-day:
Serves as the primary liaison between vendors and Techo-Bloc;
Tracking, planning and aligning internal and external stakeholders on projects;
Issuing purchase orders (P.Os), for non-inventoried procurement needs and manage data held within the ERP system prior to hand-over to buyers;
Facilitating internal intercompany / site product movements;
Partner with accounting team to enroll new vendors and handle accounts payable set-up;
Data entry and hand over of products, line sheets etc. to cross functional stakeholders (Production, marketing, customer service, operations, logistics, distribution, accounting, etc.) to continue procurement needs and purchasing;
Participates in developing tools to track and analyze procurement functions, KPI reporting and project management;
Actively develop relationships with new and existing vendors, while handling contract and pricing negotiations;
Leads with supplier and cost evaluation of new materials;
Identify needs and present viable purchasing options for products, components, equipment and supplies;
Shares research and expertise on industry trends, new products, and potential problem-solving solutions;
Compares available goods to determine best pricing;
Acts as a liaison between internal departments, vendors and colleagues.
Qualifications
1 years' experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or product management role;
1 years' vendor relations and contract negotiation;
Previous demonstrable / autonomous experience with researching and qualifying and selecting leads for a project;
Experience working within an ERP system (SAP or Microsoft AX is preferred);
Use of Microsoft office suite (Microsoft Office Suite: Teams, Excel, etc.);
Bilingualism (French/English) - Due to frequent communication with employees in Quebec, Ontario and the United States.
