Sales Marketing Manager

The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for building and leading the company sales and marketing function. This role starts hands-on, focusing on execution and client engagement, and will transition into a strategic leadership position as the department grows. The Manager will establish sales processes, develop KPIs, manage the marketing coordinator, and expand the team over time. The focus is clear: client retention and revenue growth – delivering an increase in projects by strengthening existing relationships with high-rise developers and construction managers while expanding reach in disaster management and restoration.
Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership
- Establish and oversee a structured sales process, moving the company beyond ad-hoc campaigns into a consistent, measurable system.
- Define and track sales KPIs to measure growth, client retention, and pipeline activity.
- Lead business development efforts with high-rise developers, construction managers, and industry decision-makers.
- Supportand build on existing client relationships to expand revenue opportunities.
- Directly manage and mentorthe Sales & Marketing Coordinator, with responsibility for hiring replacements and future sales staff
- Collaborate with the CEO (as an active salesperson) while ensuring accountability to the COO for overall departmental results.
Marketing Leadership
- Develop and execute an annual marketing strategy and budget(with leadership input).
- Oversee all digital marketing channels — website, social media, email, CRM, and paid ads.
- Ensure branding consistency across all client-facing materials and touchpoints, maintaining our "Above & Beyond" standard.
- Build marketing systems that support client education, including Lunch & Learn sessions, newsletters, and tactical mitigation plan communication.
- Manage and improve CRM automation for client follow-ups, customer segmentation, and KPI tracking.
- Run seasonal campaigns (e.g., Canada Day, Halloween) and client appreciation programs.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform positioning and identify new opportunities.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Report directly to the COO with regular updates on sales performance and marketing ROI.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO on high-level client relationships and sales execution.
- Provide leadership with insights on client retention, pipeline health, and revenue growth.
- Work independently in day-to-day sales and marketing operations while aligning with leadership on strategy.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record in B2B sales leadership, preferably within construction, restoration, or related industries.
- Experience building and managing sales and marketing teams.
- Strong knowledge of CRM systems, pipeline management, and KPI development.
- Skilled in digital marketing execution (web, social, email) and campaign management.
- Ability to manage external vendors (web, branding, creative).
- Hands-on leader able to transition into a strategic role as the team scales.
Key Metrics of Success:
- 20% increase in revenue through additional projects and stronger client retention.
- Defined, documented, and consistently executed sales process within 12 months.
- Fully functional CRM system with automation and measurable KPIs.
- Growth of sales team under Manager's leadership, with clearrole structures and accountability.
- Marketing calendar executed consistently, including campaigns, gifting, and client touchpoints.
This leader must be entrepreneurial, execution-driven, and passionate about client retention while building a scalable sales and marketing foundation for the company. Please note, this is a full-time in office role.
