The Role:

We are looking for an organized Design Project Coordinator to join our high-rise Interior Design Team and provide support to the Design Director and the Design Project Manager. This individual will be working with internal employees and external consultants/agencies on on-going projects.

The Design Project Coordinator supports the Design Director and Design Project Manager in the successful delivery of high-rise residential projects. This role involves coordinating drawings, materials, communications, and documentation to ensure consistency with design intent, construction schedules, and project standards.

As the Design Project Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will include:

Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and implementing design-related project tasks.

  • Prepare meeting materials, take minutes, and coordinate follow-ups from design and construction meetings.
  • Review Architectural, Interior Design, and MEP drawings for consistency and flag potential coordination issues to Consultants and Internal Teams.
  • Support collaboration with external Interior Design Consultants on design documentation and approvals.
  • Conduct preliminary reviews of shop drawings, hardware schedules, and finish samples for accuracy prior to sign-off.
  • Develop scope comparison charts.
  • Assist in conducting site walk-throughs with the Project Manager and document progress through detailed site reports.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to obtain updated pricing, samples, and lead-time information.
  • Help source suitable finishes and materials for ongoing high-rise projects.
  • Assist in preparing and updating interior design specification packages and finish schedules.
  • Support the development of suite upgrade programs by gathering data, samples, and pricing.
  • Maintain master finishes charts and ensure updated versions are distributed to consultants and trades.
  • Assist with purchaser design meetings, ensuring selections are recorded and communicated to relevant trades.
  • Track action items and follow up with consultants, trades, and vendors to maintain project momentum.
  • Provide administrative and technical support for any additional tasks required by the ID Project Manager or ID Project Director.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Interior-Design or Architectural Technology background in high-rise construction.
  • Strong understanding of design documentation, material specifications, and construction coordination.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and interior design drawings.
  • Working knowledge of high-rise construction processes and sequencing.
  • Proficient in Bluebeam, AutoCAD and Revit (asset), Excel.
  • Experience in Photoshop, Illustrator preferred.
  • Travel is required within Toronto and the GTA – Valid Driver's License Required
  • Administrative experience.
