Who We Are
Talize – Where Passion Meets Purpose
At Talize, we're more than a workplace, we're a movement for sustainable living. Every day, you help communities shop with purpose, combining fashion and environmental impact.
We believe opportunity is always in style. Whether you're on the floor or behind the scenes, you'll grow, thrive, and make a difference for your future and the planet.
Our culture is fast-paced, fun, and people-first. We celebrate diversity, creativity, and collaboration, where every voice matters and every win counts.
Ready to make an impact? Let's do it together.
Who You Are
This role centers on building relationships, inspiring others, and achieving results through people. Success relies on an engaging, empathetic communication style rooted in enthusiasm and warmth. While the role demands initiative and self-direction, results are driven by collaboration, influence, and understanding individual motivations.
A strong ability to "sell" ideas, policies, or products—internally or externally—is critical. The fast-paced environment requires adaptability, delegation, and a proactive approach to forming new relationships. It also involves launching initiatives beyond current practices, often by training and motivating others through persuasive rather than directive communication.
Ultimately, the ideal candidate is a dynamic, self-confident team builder who thrives on variety, embraces change, and brings energy and clarity to individuals and groups to align them with evolving goals.
The Role
The Regional Business Development Ambassador is a field-based role responsible for growing Talize and Recycling Rewards' donation ecosystem across a defined region of five or more stores. This individual merges community engagement, partnership development, and operational strategy to increase donation volumes, enhance visibility, and optimize donation operations across the territory.

- Leadership and direct performance improvement for bottom two donation-generating stores.
- Development and expansion of bin placements and donation centres.
- Relationship management with municipalities, landlords, charities, and local partners
- Coordination with Operations, Procurement, and Fleet teams for inventory alignment
- Oversight of daily donation operations in collaboration with store managers
What the Role Executes
- Weekly store check-ins and monthly regional calls to drive performance.
- Outreach planning using AI-powered tools and dashboards
- Monitoring and optimizing bin and trailer placements
- Accurate record-keeping of donation activities, partnerships, and engagements
What the Role Contributes to the Business
- Consistent regional donation supply and logistics stability.
- Elevated community presence and stronger brand visibility.
- Expanded network of aligned partners supporting ESG and donation goals.
- Improved donor experience and store engagement.
- Reduced freight and storage costs via efficient bin/trailer management
Core Competencies
- Communication: effective verbal and written communication skills are crucial for conveying ideas, collaborating with colleagues, and presenting information clearly.
- Adaptability: the ability to quickly adjust to changing circumstances and embrace new technologies, processes, or methods.
- Problem Solving: the capacity to identify challenges, analyze them, and develop practical solutions.
- Time Management: efficiently managing one's own time and tasks to meet deadlines and goals.
- Teamwork: collaborating with others, valuing diversity of perspectives, and contributing to group success.
- Technical Proficiency: proficiency in the necessary tools, software, and equipment relevant to the individual's role.
- Critical Thinking: the ability to evaluate information and make informed decisions based on evidence and logic.
- Self-Motivation: taking initiative and being proactive in pursuing personal and professional development.
- Emotional Intelligence: understanding and managing one's emotions and effectively relating to others in the workplace.
- Ethical and Professional Behavior: demonstrating integrity, honesty, and professionalism in all interactions.
Education, Experience and Requirements
Must have:
- 3+ years of experience in Community Outreach, Sales, or Partnership Development.
- Strong leadership with multi-site coordination experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Good to have:
- Experience in recycling, thrift, or donation-based retail.
- Community engagement proficiency.
- Familiarity with field sales or operational logistics.
- Knowledge of AI-based targeting or outreach tool
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to drive frequently across a multi-city region (valid driver's license required)
- Capable of conducting on-site assessments at donation bins, trailers, and donation centres—including walking, standing, and light lifting (up to 30 lbs)
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions while performing bin inspections or meeting with local stakeholders
- Occasional lifting, reaching, bending, and walking in field settings and warehouse-style donation centres
Work Environment:
- Work is split between field visits (including retail store locations, outdoor donation bin sites, and community partner locations), home office, and on-site-office/in-store presence
- Exposure to donation storage environments, which may include dust, varying temperatures, and frequent movement of goods
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including some evenings, weekends, and community event days, to accommodate partner schedules and operational needs
- Regular interaction with store managers, community organizations, municipalities, and members of the public
- The role requires the ability to adapt quickly in dynamic environments and manage priorities across diverse field conditions
