About the Role:

How you will contribute to the team

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, and taxation, while serving as a key contributor to broader organizational decision-making.
  • Partner closely with the CEO and Management Team to support major business decisions and transactions.
  • Drive automation initiatives and process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Strengthen financial and operational controls by recommending and implementing best-practice processes and governance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to the finance team.
  • Oversee risk management and internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring compliance and advising the CEO on key risks.

Qualifications

  • CPA designation or equivalent (CPA US or ACCA accepted)
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting
  • Background in consumer goods, wholesale, or retail environments
  • Proven experience building teams, implementing processes, and driving organizational improvements
  • Financial Planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis.
  • Excellent knowledge of international financial reporting standards, accounting principles and practices, financial reporting, and costing, pricing systems.
  • Deep Experience optimizing ERP systems from a logic perspective for financial reporting and analysis purposes. Coding experience would be an asset
  • Strong in the technology side of systems (i.e., Python coding).
  • Experience working with data platforms, information systems, and analytics.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in leading teams.
  • Experience supporting a senior management team.
