We are seeking a Quality Assurance Advisor to join us and to work on complex infrastructure projects and specifically in utilities (Electric Transmission & Distribution). In this role, you will establish and maintain performance procedures, audit programs, analyze results and lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality. You'll ensure our Project Quality Management Plans operate seamlessly, guaranteeing compliance with specifications and delivering projects that meet the highest standards.

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Champion Quality Excellence: Develop, implement, and maintain robust processes and procedures that drive consistency and compliance across all project activities
  • Receive and review project quality submissions (QA plans, Procedures, Quality Records, etc.) to ensure compliance with requirements
  • Maintain Accurate Records and oversee retention of Project Quality Records
  • Lead Documentation Excellence: Manage the preparation and timely submission of all plans, reports, and documents to client representatives, ensuring clarity and compliance
  • Maintain project specific Quality Metrics
  • Track supplier nonconformance reports and corrective actions to ensure effective disposition and continual improvement
  • Ensure Audit Integrity: Prepare audit plans, coordinate supplier audits, and communicate findings clearly to clients and stakeholders to ensure transparency and trust
  • Develop sampling plans and coordinate third party testing of materials
  • Drive Corrective Action & Learning: Design and implement programs for corrective actions on non-conformances and deliver QMS training that empowers teams to uphold quality standards
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Act as a key liaison between internal departments and external partners, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on quality objectives
Qualifications
  • Degree or diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Civil/Structural/Mechanical) or any other relevant field
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification or Certified Quality auditor (CQA) certification, an asset
  • Lean six Sigma Certification, an asset
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience including QMS/Quality Management experience on construction projects and/or manufacturing quality.  Electric utility experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing and construction processes, standards, and QA/QC processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) to support documentation, analysis, and communication 
  • Detail oriented and strong ability to work with engineering documentation
  • Excellent communication skills in English in order to build relationships and manage multiple stakeholders and clients

The expected salary for this position is from $80,000 to $95,000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate's experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
