The Recruitment Consultant is the subject matter expert in job evaluation, compensation, recruitment and has informal leadership responsibilities managing the day-to-day activities of the Recruitment Advisors, Associates and Assistants. This position is responsible for collaborating with hiring leaders and internal stakeholders to advise on recruitment best practices for both unionized and non-union positions, develop and maintain departmental processes and procedures, and oversee the process for job evaluation and compensation analysis to ensure a fair, consistent and equitable approach to compensation. The Consultant manages both internal and external relationships with key stakeholders, including Labour Relations, union partners, community agencies, and academic institutions. Reporting directly to the Manager of Recruitment, the Consultant will oversee the development and maintenance of effective and efficient systems, processes and procedures of all recruitment needs at London Health Sciences Centre.

Temporary Full-Time

Rate of pay: $53.72- $67.16 per hour

Hours of work: 37.5 per week

Duration: Up to 24 months

Qualifications
  • Successful completion of a two (2) year college diploma in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Marketing or Business
  • Successful completion of an undergraduate degree preferred
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Registered Professional Recruiter preferred
  • Minimum seven (7) years recent, related job experience required
  • Extensive experience in talent management including full cycle recruitment digital platforms and systems
  • Strong experience with digital software including Microsoft Suite, social media and Teams
  • Strong knowledge and experience with the application of all Employment Legislation, HR policies and practices, Collective Agreements and employee rights and obligations processes
  • Ability to advise on recruitment best practices
  • Experience with effective relationship management
  • Experience mentoring and coaching to establish customer service best practices
  • Experience in workshop and training program development
  • Familiarity with Ministry-funded programming for hospital recruitment efforts
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's vision, purpose and values
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
