Job Description: Morning Receptionist & Key Holder

Location: Burlington Hall Sporting Club

Shift: Monday – Friday | 5:00am start

Reports to: Club Manager

Role Overview

As the Morning Receptionist and Key Holder, you are the first point of contact for our members and the individual responsible for bringing the club to life each morning. This is a critical role that requires a high level of punctuality, a welcoming personality, and the ability to manage the facility's opening procedures independently. You don't just open the doors; you set the energy for the entire club.

Key Responsibilities

1. Facility Opening & Security (Key Holder)

  • Arrive punctually to disarm security systems and unlock the facility.
  • Perform a morning "walk-through" to ensure all areas (Gym, Courts, Locker Rooms) are clean, lit, and ready for members.
  • Ensure all equipment and amenities (towels, water stations, etc.) are stocked and prepared.

2. Member Relations & Check-In

  • Greet every member by name with a warm, professional morning welcome.
  • Manage the check-in process through our club management software.
  • Handle court bookings, lesson registrations, and program inquiries with accuracy.

3. Administrative & Sales Support

  • Manage the club's main phone line and email inquiries professionally.
  • Assist the Membership Director (Michael) by identifying potential leads or handing off guest inquiries.
  • Process point-of-sale transactions for pro-shop items or guest fees.

4. Morning "Vibe" Management

  • Ensure the lobby and lounge areas remain tidy and inviting.
  • Manage morning coffee service or refreshment stations.
  • Commuicate any facility issues or urgent member feedback to management immediately.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • The "Early Bird" Mindset: You are naturally a morning person who is energized by starting the day early.
  • Reliability: As a key holder, your punctuality is non-negotiable. The club cannot open without you.
  • Professionalism: Excellent communication skills and a polished appearance suitable for a premium sporting club.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using (or learning) club management software and POS systems.
  • Experience: Previous experience in hospitality, fitness, or front-desk roles is an asset but not required for the right personality.
