As our Representative to the community, this position reports to the Pastor to support the growth, success and administrative needs of the H.O.P.E. Centre ("Centre"). The Team Member will be representing the Centre when working with the members of the community, staff and volunteer teams, vendors and service providers. As the Centre's Representative, this role is accountable to establish new relationships for purposes of generating and maintaining new business as well as the retainment and expansion of current business. Increasing community awareness of the Centre's offerings is a prime accountability. Note: As a condition of employment, successful candidates must provide satisfactory documentation for a Criminal Record Check which includes a Vulnerable Sector Search, Social Development Check and Proof of Employment Eligibility to Work in Canada
Essential Job Functions:
Business Development: Collaboration with Pastor and Team to recommend, initiate and implement engaging and persuasive marketing initiatives to increase community awareness of the Centre's value with the goal to increase revenue. This will include research, identification and approach of potential profitable types of use and clients, determination of compelling content, initiation and/or development of marketing materials for print and electronic for various channels, including social media platforms, websites, newsletters, and bulletins. Manage and maintain the Centre's onsite and social media presence, ensuring regular updates, monitoring engagement, and responding to inquiries. Preparation and facilitation of rental agreements and any other required documentation. Retainment of existing external and internal relationships with an approach to expanding offerings where identified.
Coordination of Events: Work closely with external clients, existing internal uses, staff team, volunteers and required vendors to coordinate and facilitate events held onsite at the Centre. This can include scheduling, setup/teardown and other required actions to ensure success.
Administrative Coordination: Supports the efficient operation of the Centre to include, but not limited to: being the "professional and friendly face" to the Centre during established business hours, review/develop/coordinate/oversee office administrative procedures, respond to in-person/email/phone inquiries, management of electronic and paper documents, disbursement and balancing of petty cash, maintenance of supplies inventory, receipt and forwarding of invoices to Administrative Assistant and other required administrative support of initiatives undertaken by Team Members and Volunteers
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
