Job Duties: (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY) THIS IS A VOLUNTEER POSITION.

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Volunteer Grant Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for our organization. This role requires a strong understanding of grant processes, excellent writing skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. The Grant Writer will play a crucial role in supporting our mission through effective fundraising strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research on potential funding sources and grant opportunities that align with our organization's goals.
  • Write compelling grant proposals that clearly articulate the needs of the organization and the impact of proposed projects.
  • Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and data for grant applications.
  • Maintain accurate records of submissions and follow up on pending proposals.
  • Develop and manage a calendar of grant deadlines to ensure timely submissions.
  • Utilize databases to track donor information and grant applications.

Skill

  • Strong research skills with the ability to analyze data and present findings effectively.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in using databases for tracking grants and donor information.
  • Familiarity with marketing strategies to enhance fundraising efforts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with funders and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
