We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Volunteer Content Writer to join our dynamic digital marketing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging, high-quality content that aligns with our brand voice and marketing goals. This role involves developing content for various platforms, including websites, blogs, email campaigns, and social media, with a focus on driving traffic and enhancing user engagement. Experience in e-commerce, SEO, and content management systems is essential to succeed in this position. The Content Writer will play a key role in shaping our online presence and supporting our digital marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop well-researched, original content tailored for target audiences across multiple channels such as websites, blogs, email marketing campaigns, and social media platforms
  • Optimize content for SEO by conducting keyword research and implementing best practices to improve search engine rankings
  • Manage and update content within content management systems like WordPress
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content strategies that align with brand objectives and marketing campaigns
  • Utilize graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite to create or enhance visual elements accompanying written content
  • Incorporate HTML and CSS skills to format and embed content effectively on web pages
  • Analyze website traffic and engagement metrics using Google Analytics to refine content strategies
  • Ensure all content adheres to branding guidelines, quality standards, and SEO best practices
  • Stay updated on digital marketing trends, industry news, and emerging technologies to continuously improve content quality and effectiveness

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in content writing for e-commerce or digital marketing environments
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles, keyword research, and content optimization techniques
  • Proficiency with WordPress or other content management systems
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic web development concepts
  • Skilled in graphic design using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite tools
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics for tracking performance metrics
  • Ability to develop effective content strategies aligned with business goals
  • Experience with email marketing platforms is a plus
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
