Position Description
The Quality Inspector role involves conducting inspections, identifying defects, and collaborating with production teams to resolve quality issues. The ideal candidate pays close attention to detail, follows precise guidelines, and maintains accurate documentation of findings. Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing assessments on incoming materials.
- Reviewing plans, schedules, blueprints, and specifications to understand the design requirements of products.
- Ensuring that procedures are set to achieve quality standards.
- Performing detailed final inspections of products prior to shipment, including the documentation and reporting on non-conformances. Ensuring final products meet all engineering standards.
- Documenting inspection findings and completing reports and performance records.
- Ensure quality control and technical standards are adhered to and performance metrics are met.
- Educating the production team on quality control processes, concerns, and standards of product quality.
Required Education & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Ability to apply sound knowledge and best practices of quality principles.
- Dedication to continuous improvement.
- Proficient problem solving and critical decision-making skills.
- Experience in a metal fabrication facility will be considered an asset.
