About the Role

The successful candidate will handle a range of paralegal responsibilities across civil litigation and landlord and tenant matters, providing comprehensive support to clients and maintaining the firm's high standards of service. You will manage files from start to finish, conduct legal research, and play a key role in ensuring effective case management and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage Small Claims Court and Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB) matters from intake to resolution
  • Prepare, draft, and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and memoranda
  • Conduct legal research and maintain accurate legal records and databases
  • Enforce court judgments through garnishments, seizure and sale, and other enforcement actions
  • Collaborate with skip tracing and legal servicing companies as required
  • Coordinate document execution, delivery, and filing
  • Support the Real Estate Legal Division when needed
  • Ensure confidentiality of all firm and client information
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
What We're Looking For:
  • Licensed Paralegal in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a corporate or litigation environment
  • Hands-on experience with Small Claims Court and Landlord and Tenant Board proceedings
  • Strong understanding of legal principles, research techniques, and relevant laws
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
    • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros)
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
