*** SEEKING FULL TIME ON-CALL & SPARE LABOURERS.***

Schedule:

  • This is a seasonal position from approximately November 1, 2025 until April 15, Summer work available after the winter season.)
  • Shifts are on an on-call basis and hours vary depending on the weather (8-16 hour shifts).
  • You MUST be available 24/7, including weekends and holidays, and be able to respond to dispatch on short notice.
  • Hourly pay, no guaranteed hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Clearing snow/ice from walkways, driveways, and parking lots using shovels or snow blowers.
  • Ensuring that all areas are properly cleared and free of snow and ice.
  • Safely operating snow removal equipment and following all safety guidelines.
  • Applying ice melt or salt to prevent slippery conditions.
  • Communicating with supervisors or team members to coordinate snow removal efforts.

Requirements:

  • Must be available 24/7, Saturday to Sunday.
  • Must have a cell phone with minutes and data.
  • Must hold a valid driver licence and clean abstract for driving roles.
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to our shop near Hawthorne and Leitrim.
  • Ability to work in cold and potentially hazardous weather conditions.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy loads (minimum 50lb).
  • Previous experience in snow removal is a plus, but not required.
  • Can work independently and as a team.

Notes:

  • Pay is based skill, experience, reliability and position offered.
  • You can expect large commercial and/or municipal sites for winter maintenance operations.
  • Please note that this position is seasonal and dependent on weather conditions. Optional summer landscaping positions available post winter season.
