Established Bay Street boutique law firm seeks a junior legal assistant to join our office for a full-time permanent position.

Legal experience is required. We will train the successful candidate. Available to start as soon as possible.

This is an on-site position requiring 5 days a week in the office. There is no opportunity to work from home.

The ideal candidate will have excellent keyboarding skills, a broad understanding of Microsoft Office, and a desire to learn the skills needed to function as a legal assistant.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

The ideal applicant should have experience with the following:

· Excellent keyboarding skills

· Proficient in formatting and editing through Microsoft Office

· Typing skills of 70 wpm+

· Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal

· Comfortable working under pressure

· Strong organizational skills

· Ability to maintain lawyers' calendars and to keep track of deadlines

· Ability to work in a team environment

Salary: Range of $60,000 to $70,000 commensurate with ability, with a possibility of an increase during the year, in addition to the bonus offered.
