Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and order processing, with proficiency in warehouse management systems and equipment operation. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and efficiency are valued.

Duties

  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and document receipt using warehouse management systems such as MRP or AS400
  • Prepare outgoing shipments by picking orders accurately using order pickers and order fulfillment techniques
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols
  • Pack products securely for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation for delivery
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and updates in warehouse management systems
  • Coordinate with warehouse distribution teams to ensure timely dispatch of goods
  • Assist with stock organization and storage to optimize warehouse space and accessibility
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, including forklifts and reach trucks, following all safety guidelines

Skills

  • Proven experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, or related roles
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP, AS400, or similar platforms
  • Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment safely
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for order picking and inventory accuracy
  • Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during order fulfillment
  • Knowledge of packaging standards for shipping various products
  • Experience with e-commerce order processing is a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
  • Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and other departments

This position is vital for maintaining efficient warehouse operations and ensuring customer satisfaction through accurate shipping and receiving processes.
