Position Overview

As a server, you'll be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers' experiences. The primary responsibilities of this role will be ensuring that our tables are clean and tidy for when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages. You will need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we'd like to meet you.

Shifts: Full-time permanent. Days, evenings & weekends.

Wage: $16 + gratuities

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order.
  • Attend to customers upon entrance as per brand standards.
  • Present restaurant menus and provide appropriate food and beverage recommendations.
  • Take and serve orders accurately and appropriately.
  • Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff to improve workflow and guest experience.
  • Handle complaints or problems in a positive and productive manner.
  • Respond to patrons' requests and inform management of any complaints.
  • Issue bills and accept payments.
  • Rotate beverages and food items in service fridges to ensure freshness and order.
  • Prepare service areas for arriving patrons by sanitizing, wiping up spills, clearing away crumbs, and replacing soiled linen.
  • Ensure that the service stations are adequately stocked with necessary supplies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years restaurant serving or waitering experience.
  • Valid Pro Serve.
  • Sound knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
