POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager, Category Growth & Chef's App Content Lead is responsible for driving category growth and portfolio development for Canada; ensuring an integrated business plan that supports and delivers on Lee Kum Kee's 5-year objectives and product category penetration targets.

Additionally, this role will expand engagement and sales within the Asian segment across US and Canada, leveraging digital storytelling, chef partnerships, and the Chef's App platform to deepen brand connection and culinary inspiration.

Category Strategy & Portfolio Management

  • Shape and champion the long-term category vision and growth strategy for Canada, aligned with overall business objectives and KPIs.
  • Identify key customer opportunities in retail and foodservice channels, using data and insights to guide strategic initiatives and innovation pipelines.
  • Develop consumer-centric product propositions and marketing concepts that strengthen category penetration, brand equity, and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal partners — including Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Operations — to build and optimize a balanced and high-performing product portfolio.

Communication & Brand Development

  • Localize global and regional playbooks to fit the Canadian market, ensuring consistency in brand identity, packaging, and messaging.
  • Partner with the Marketing and Sales teams to roll out impactful campaigns, events, and promotions across both retail and foodservice segments.
  • Support the development of product stories and content that bring the brand's values, quality, and culinary heritage to life.

Innovation & Renovation

  • Lead the new product development (NPD) and renovation process for Canada — from consumer insight generation and ideation to business case creation and launch strategy.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, R&D, Manufacturing, and Channel Marketing to ensure commercial viability and successful in-market execution.
  • Align local innovation with global and zone priorities, tailoring strategies to local consumer needs and opportunities.

Marketing Community & Collaboration

  • Partner with Channel Marketing to ensure alignment and shared goals for category growth.
  • Engage and influence Sales teams to support product rollouts and activation initiatives.
  • Represent Canada in the Global Marketing community, advocating for local market needs and sharing best practices.

Resource Management

  • Manage A&P budgets effectively to maximize ROI, ensuring all activities are cost-efficient and strategically aligned.
  • Support market research and category marketing programs that build distribution and product visibility ("physical availability").

Chef's App Content

  • Serve as the content lead for the Chef's App, ensuring content remains fresh, relevant, and engaging for Asian chefs and foodservice professionals across the U.S. and Canada.
  • Lead digital and social media campaigns, including planning, briefing, execution, optimization, and post-campaign analysis.
  • Collaborate with chefs to develop recipes, menus, and culinary content that highlight product versatility and inspire usage.
  • Partner with agencies, vendors, and internal teams to create compelling content (recipes, videos, imagery, multilingual copy), and manage PR activities as needed.
  • Work closely with the Sales and SP teams to address customer inquiries, support product education, and help close opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or similar required; MBA preferred.
  • Bilingual in Chinese and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum 7 years of marketing or sales experience within reputable FMCG food or beverage organizations
  • Demonstrated success in category management, innovation, and brand development.
  • Experience in foodservice or Asian cuisine markets is a strong plus.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a "can-do" mindset.
  • Proven ability to translate insights into actionable growth strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder influencing skills.
  • Collaborative leader with the ability to drive cross-functional alignment and deliver results.
  • Strong financial and business acumen with experience managing budgets.
  • Excellent project management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • This position requires up to 25% travel, including local, domestic, and international
