Toronto, Ontario, Canada Homebase Full time US$100,000 - US$170,000 per year

Hi, Future Homie
At Homebase, you'll join a team that's bold, fast-moving, and obsessed with helping small businesses thrive. We build with empathy, act with urgency, and take big swings that drive real-world impact. Here, every Homie shows up to raise the bar, support one another, and celebrate wins as a team.

We're not just building an app—we're building
unstoppable
teams. So what do you say, are you in?

Your
Impact
Starts Here
We're looking for a
Senior Recruiter (Product & Design)
who lives at the intersection of creativity, craft, and strategy—someone who knows how to spot and attract world-class product talent, even when they're not looking.

This role is all about building the teams that will build our product. You'll partner closely with our Head of Product, Product Design leadership, and cross-functional partners to define, attract, and hire innovators who will shape the future of small business software.

You'll thrive here if you're scrappy, adaptive, and driven to make things happen—balancing bold, creative sourcing with data-driven decision making. You know how to work fast without losing precision, and you're not afraid to try new tactics to find exceptional people.

These are the key ways you'll contribute and create impact in this role:

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for Product Management and Product Design roles—from high-impact ICs to emerging leaders—building diverse, high-performing teams that elevate our product experience.
  • Partner deeply with Product and Design leadership to understand their roadmap, challenges, and vision for the next evolution of Homebase. Translate that into targeted, actionable hiring strategies.
  • Source creatively and relentlessly. Go beyond LinkedIn: build talent communities, map out competitors, host niche events, create campaigns, and use AI tools to uncover hidden gems.
  • Champion candidate experience. You'll treat every interaction as an opportunity to tell the Homebase story - building relationships with empathy, transparency, and respect.
  • Be data-informed, not data-bound. Use recruiting metrics to forecast, experiment, and iterate. Identify trends, bottlenecks, and continuously refine the hiring process to improve speed, quality, and equity.
  • Bring fresh ideas to the table. Introduce creative, scalable, and AI-powered recruiting solutions that help us build better and faster—without losing our human touch.
  • Contribute to the evolution of our talent brand. Partner with design and marketing to tell the story of how we build great products that make small businesses unstoppable.

Role
The Foundation for Success -
These are the experiences and strengths that will set you up for success in this role:

  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including 2+ years focused specifically on Product Management and/or Product Design in high-growth tech or SaaS environments.
  • A portfolio of hires that includes top-tier PMs, designers, and design leaders—people who've built or shaped great products at scale.
  • A proven ability to recruit for quality and craft, not just headcount. You know what makes a great product thinker.
  • A creative sourcing mindset—you experiment, you take risks, and you don't rely on what's been done before.
  • Adaptability and scrappiness. You're energized by change and thrive when you can build as you go.
  • Strong data literacy and storytelling skills—you use data to influence, guide, and build trust with stakeholders.
  • Experience using modern recruiting tools (Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, AI sourcing tools) to automate and amplify your impact.
  • A collaborative, humble, and curious spirit—someone who's hungry to build something meaningful alongside passionate teammates.

You embrace AI as a core recruiting skill. You've used AI tools to source, engage, or analyze talent pipelines, and you can show how they've improved your efficiency and impact. You're curious, data-driven, and eager to retool traditional workflows with automation — while preserving the human touch that defines a great candidate experience.

The Homie Way -
These principles guide everything we do—from how we work and make decisions to how we show up for each other.

  • Be Customer Obsessed – Solve problems with empathy and creativity.
  • Move Fast, Learn Fast – Experiment, take action, and grow every day.
  • Own Your Impact – Think big, focus on what matters, and make decisions you stand behind.
  • Master Your Craft – Excellence fuels impact—show up, step up, and make your mark.
  • Win Together – Put goals over roles, lead with trust, and connect to our mission and each other.

What We Offer

  • Ownership & Savings: Stock options + TFSA/RRSP with 4% company match
  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision for you and your dependents
  • Time Flexibility: Flex time off + company holidays + designated focus periods
  • Family Support: Maternity/Parental Leave EI top-up support offered (after 6 months of service)
  • Work Your Way: Work From Anywhere Month + meeting-free weeks yearly
  • Protection Plans: Life insurance + short/long-term disability coverage
  • Workspace Perks: Meals provided, team offsites, and Customer Days
  • Our Hybrid Rhythm: We believe collaboration drives impact. That's why Monday-Thursday are our required in-office days—a time to move faster as a team, build deeper connections, make better decisions, and build together.

What To Expect During The Interview Process

  • Meet the Hiring Manager, Ivana L.
  • Meet a member of the Talent Team, Mavel W.
  • Meet Cross-functional Partners
  • Meet with an Executive, Ray S.
  • Background Check + Offer Stage
  • Welcome to the team, Homie

Belonging at Homebase -
We're committed to fostering a welcoming space where every Homie can be their full self. Experience comes in many forms—so if you're excited about this role, even if you don't meet 100% of the qualifications, we encourage you to apply
