We currently have an opening for a Quality Assurance Inspector on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Inspector will be responsible for a range of duties including but not limited to the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Performing routine quality assessments on incoming materials and outgoing services and products
  • Measuring product dimensions, examining the functionality of products, and comparing the final products to see if standards are met
  • Recommending product improvements and changes to the production processes to improve quality
  • Documenting inspection findings, and completing detailed reports and performance records
  • Educating the production team on quality control processes, concerns, and standards of product quality
  • Inspecting & dispositioning (Production) First Article submissions
  • Assisting Quality Engineers and QA Manager with Process Capability Studies (Ppk/Cpk) and SPC implementation
  • Maintaining QA Records
  • Comply with and contribute to continuous improvement of the Companies Quality, H&S and Continuous Improvement Policy & Procedure

Education and Experience:

  • Post-Secondary related education or related work experience
  • Min. 3 years (continuous) QA/QC experience, preferably in a Manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge & competent in the use of various types of gauge & measuring equipment, and the interpretation of Engineering Drawings (incl. GD&T), Specifications & Quality Standards.
  • Must have proficient computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel), to generate technical reports
  • Experience with measuring parts with a CMM would be desirable
