Sales Manager.

Summary

This position is responsible for assisting customers in selecting their dream vehicle

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers and establish/nurture relationships with past and potential customers to facilitate sales.
  • Recommend and select products for customers based on their individual needs.
  • Describe products and explain their benefits and uses to potential customers.
  • Offer road tests to any potential customer at their convenience and follow dealership general procedures before going on a road test.
  • Obtain required information and complete all documents necessary to prepare for a sale.
  • Use data to help customers understand how products can help them achieve their goals.
  • Negotiate prices and ensure the transaction is approved by the sales manager.
  • Define and keep track of personal sales objectives, as approved by management.
  • Know and understand all federal and provincial laws and municipal bylaws related to retail automobile sales.

Delivery-related tasks

  • Verify and prepare all necessary items for sold cars before the customer's arrival.
  • Ensure the customer understands functional features, warranties, and required documents during deliveries.
  • Follow up on accessories, documents, or other special requests promised to meet customer expectations after deliveries.

Tasks related to follow-up and prospecting

  • Contact customers within 48 hours of the sale to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Perform follow-ups with customers who did not make a purchase within 24 hours of their visit.
  • Seize business opportunities by soliciting and searching for new customers regularly, utilizing various prospecting tools.

Miscellaneous tasks

  • Participate in car inspection, preparation, or refurbishment as needed.
  • Cooperate in keeping the showroom and/or previously used car department clean and tidy.
  • Act as a mentor to new representatives.
  • Take part in sales team meetings.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Perform other tasks based on management requirements and instructions.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of automotive sales experience is mandatory.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in negotiation, and a customer-focused approach.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English.
