Position: Early Childhood Educator

Location: Beddington Heights, Calgary, AB

Job Type: Part-Time (with Full-Day Opportunities on Non-School Days)

Beddington Heights Before and After School Program is a dynamic, fast-paced, recreation-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing high-quality childcare to our local community. We foster a fun, engaging, and supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and explore their interests.

We're seeking a passionate and qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team We want to hear from you if you're enthusiastic, caring, and motivated to make a difference in children's lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement fun, age-appropriate activities for school-age children
  • Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
  • Supervise children during play, transitions, and mealtimes
  • Communicate positively and professionally with parents and staff
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing and safety regulations
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as daily logs and incident reports

Qualifications:

  • Early Childhood Educator Certificate (required)
  • First Aid & CPR Certification (preferred, not required)
  • Clear and current Police Security Clearance
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Physically able to lift/carry up to 30 lbs (due to equipment setup and takedown)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting

Shifts:

  • Morning: 6:45 AM – 9:00 AM
  • Afternoon: 2:15 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Full Days available on Fridays and other non-school days (e.g., PD days, breaks)
  • Particular need for Monday & Thursday shifts

Note: This is not a full-time position unless combined with full-day shifts.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.30-$27.07 per hour

Expected hours: 18.75 – 30 per week
