ASSOCIATE ACCOUNT MANAGER, COMMERCIAL LINES POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Account Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced insurance professional looking to grow their career within a supportive, specialized, and high-performing environment.

In this role, you will provide technical and administrative support for a portfolio of commercial clients, working closely with Account Managers and Producers. While primarily a non-client facing position, you may engage directly with clients via phone or email as requested.

You'll thrive in this role if you are organized, adaptable, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and have a solid foundation in commercial insurance servicing.

LOCATION AND WORK ARRANGEMENT

· Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid)

· Remote Work: Consideration will be given to qualified candidates located in Western Canada

· Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Policy & Account Servicing

• Support the servicing of commercial insurance accounts under the direction of Account Managers
• Process policy renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and other coverage changes
• Prepare and issue insurance documentation, including binders, cover notes, pink cards, and certificates of insurance
• Assist in assembling insurance proposals, pre-renewal packages, and coverage summaries
• Monitor outstanding documentation and follow up as needed to ensure timely processing

Client Communication & Support

• Respond to client inquiries via email and phone, providing prompt and professional service
• Support Account Managers in resolving policy, billing, and claims-related questions
• Communicate directly with clients when requested, maintaining a high standard of service
• Contribute to positive client relationships through reliable and consistent support

Administrative & Compliance Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate client and policy records in the agency management system (e.g., Epic)
• Assist in remarketing and renewal processes, including data gathering and submission preparation
• Generate reports and assist with creating quotes and marketing materials
• Ensure compliance with internal workflows and insurer requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial insurance servicing
• Level 2 General Insurance License (required)
• CIP or CAIB designation (or working toward), as well as post-secondary education would be considered an asset
