Role Summary

Support the Senior Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and delivering large, complex public safety technology projects. The role focuses on scheduling, risk and issue management, stakeholder coordination, reporting, and project documentation to ensure successful delivery of a large-scale public safety radio network initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end project delivery, including planning, implementation, and closeout.
  • Track schedules, milestones, risks, issues, deliverables, and dependencies.
  • Contribute to project plans covering scope, resources, timelines, and budgets.
  • Prepare and maintain project artefacts such as status reports, dashboards, briefing notes, change requests, and meeting materials.
  • Coordinate with business, technical, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure aligned delivery.
  • Identify and escalate risks and issues, propose mitigation strategies, and support decision-making.
  • Support financial tracking, vendor oversight, and contract deliverables.
  • Assist with network implementation, transition, and migration planning.
  • Ensure project activities do not negatively impact public safety operations.
  • Mentor junior team members and support knowledge transfer activities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of project management experience on large, complex initiatives.
  • 2+ years supporting or delivering public safety radio or telecommunications infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with MS Project, MS Office, Visio, SharePoint, PowerBI, or equivalent tools.
  • Proven ability to manage risks, issues, schedules, and reporting across multiple workstreams.
  • Experience working with business, technical, and infrastructure teams.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet critical deadlines.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications or radio network environments in the public sector is an asset.
