MedCare Clinics is a multi-specialty medical clinic located in the Niagara Region of

Ontario.

Our clinic's mission is to provide exceptional medical care to the surrounding

communities. Our services include providing care in a family practice setting as well

as operating a walk-in clinic where new patients are always welcome. Our team

also includes specialty Physicians that practice Internal Medicine. Our clinic has an

on-site Blood Lab and INR Clinic as well as vaccinations and seasonal flu clinics all

provided by our Registered Nurse & Phlebotomists onsite. MedCare Clinics is looking

to grow our team with the addition of a Clinical Assistant. The clinical assistant will

work under the supervision of our qualified family physicians. MedCare Clinics is

seeking an experienced and patient-centred Physician Assistant to deliver high

quality and efficient care to patients.

This position will require you to work in a dynamic, team-based environment and

provide support to patients with various acute and non-urgent medical needs.

Responsibilities:

● Provide excellent patient care by assessing, diagnosing, and treating medical

conditions in a walk-in clinic setting.

● Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe

treatments as necessary.

● Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, x-rays, ultrasounds, etc.)

● Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including internists, specialty

practitioners, nurse practitioners, lab technicians, nurses, medical office

assistants and administrative staff, to ensure coordinated care.

● Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical

records (EMR) systems.

● Educate patients on preventive care, healthy lifestyle choices, and treatment

options.

● Ensure compliance with medical regulations, safety protocols, and clinic

policies.

Qualifications:

● Completion of a Clinical Assistant Program.

● Required Passing grade of the QE1 and NAC Exam

● Standard of card according to the Canadian healthcare system

● Experience in a clinical or medical setting, preferably in a walk-in clinic or

urgent care environment.

● International Medical Graduate with extensive Clinical Assistant or

independent practice experience

● EMR (Accuro, preferred) experience

Additional Requirements:

● Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Completion of a Clinical Assistant Program.: 1 year (preferred)
  • Required Passing grade of the QE1 and NAC Exam: 1 year (preferred)
  • EMR (Accuro): 1 year (preferred)
  • Canadian Medicine Prescribing: 1 year (preferred)
