We are seeking a reliable and motivated Mechanic Helper to assist our maintenance team with repairs, inspections, and servicing of vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn from experienced mechanics.

What you will do:

o Assist mechanics with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of vehicles and equipment.

o Perform basic tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and part replacements.

o Help with diagnosing mechanical issues and preparing tools and materials for repairs.

o Keep the workshop clean, organized, and safe.

o Transport tools, equipment, and parts as needed.

o Record maintenance and repair activities as directed.

o Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

o Performing other duties as may be required or assigned.

What you can bring to the role:

o High school diploma or equivalent.

o Basic knowledge of mechanical tools and automotive systems.

o Ability to lift to [50 lbs / 25 kg] and perform physically demanding work.

o Willingness to learn and take direction from senior mechanics.

o Good communication and teamwork skills.

o Valid driver's license (preferred).

o Ability to work outdoors in ALL conditions

o Demonstrated sensitivity to and knowledge of the First Nation cultural values and traditions.

o Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team.

o Ability to report for work as scheduled.

o Must provide own safety boots, hard hats, and safety vests, and always wear them while on the job.
